02 / The record

A clear record,
with its limits.

  1. 01

    Starting position Recorded

Clear answers and inspectable evidence come first.

  2. 02

    What shipped Live

Revised AEO and GEO pages, stronger links, a clearer citation method. Live 9 and 11 October.

  3. 03

    Citation status Not established

No post-release improvement yet. Blocked answers count as unknown.

  4. 04

    Organic status Not established

Exposure, visits and enquiries are reported separately.

  5. 05

    What we learned Recorded

A window that mixes time before and after a release cannot isolate its effect.

  6. 06

    What is next Queued

Weekly checks on the same buyer questions, then later search data and enquiries.

03 / The next experiment

A clearer offer,
a measurable enquiry.

Each step is counted on its own.

  1. Step 1

    Visit

    Reads the buyer page.

  2. Step 2

    Contact click

    Chooses to get in touch.

  3. Step 3

    Stored message

    The short form stores it.

  4. Step 4

    Qualified opportunity

    Counted only if it qualifies.

Not a lead: an email draft opening.

04 / A second implementation

The same method,
on a founder-owned site.

How Thomas Howcroft rebuilt XO3D's project pages so buyers and AI answers can check each claim: named contributors, public production material and independent coverage.

What can TomHow show today?

TomHow can show its published AEO and GEO service explanations, its AI citation measurement method, and its own dated search baseline. New and revised pages went live on 9 and 11 October 2026. Those releases are too recent to support a claim that rankings, enquiries or AI citations improved because of them.

TomHow's Search Console recorded 130 Google AI feature link impressions from 18 September to 15 October 2026, compared with 49 in the preceding 28 days. Ordinary Google search produced three clicks from 6,402 impressions, compared with five clicks from 14,818 impressions. These are separate measures. More AI exposure did not establish more visits or enquiries.

The goal is to make each buyer question easy to answer, add enough depth to support a decision, and show the proof behind a claim. TomHow will track the same questions over time and record actual source links separately from brand mentions.

What are the source and the limits of these numbers?

Source: TomHow's own Search Console reports, exported on 18 October 2026. Current window: 18 September to 15 October. Comparison: 21 August to 17 September. Most of the current window precedes the October releases, so this comparison cannot identify their effect. AI link impressions are not a count of recommendations or unique people. Daily Google AI feature figures are not shown because they are only available as totals. First documented: 11 October 2026. Baseline updated: 18 October 2026. Customer outcomes remain unproved.

What does the next experiment test?

The next stage connects a defined AI SEO service to a useful buyer page and a short enquiry form. A visit, a contact click, a stored message and a qualified opportunity are recorded as different steps. An email draft opening is not counted as a lead.

We will assess the same buyer questions and priority pages over later measurement windows, record what was changed and keep unavailable answers separate from confirmed absence. This is a documented test of the method, not a claim that TomHow has already produced a client's commercial result.

How will the next result be judged?

TomHow will record the exact buyer question, answer provider, date and market. It will check brand mentions and linked TomHow sources separately, compare the same questions weekly, and mark blocked answers as unknown. Search exposure, organic visits and actual enquiries will stay in their own reports. AI systems choose their own answers and sources, so TomHow cannot promise a citation.

Is this a client case study?

No. The public fabricated report example shows the format only. The dated figures on this page describe TomHow's own website. Neither is a substitute for a permissioned client case study.
